House Hunting

Our weekends for the past six weeks have been mostly spent looking for a house. We found an area we really want to live in. It's very close to our church and not too far from both of our jobs. So far we have made offers on two different house and have been turned down both times. We know the house God has for us is out there, we're just ready to find it! We're work with a schedule; the lease on our apartment is up the end of May.

This is the front of one of the houses we went to last week. What do you think???

Thanks. We like it too, but it's one of the big houses on the block and there are train tracks behind the house. Not sure how often the train comes by.

We used to live right next to the tracks - when Sarah was born. As long as the tracks were there before the house was (as ours was) then the construction should be more solid and you won't have the "walls rattling, pictures falling off walls, etc" things that you see in movies. And another bonus is you learn and more importantly you as of yet non-existent children learn to sleep through everything! Seriously - try to be at the house when a train goes by - look at the windows and walls. As long as there isn't movement - it'll be fine - and the weather-proof double pane windows that most houses have now really cut out most of the noise. The house looks really nice!

Good Luck hunting...
Love ya kiddo(s)

Exciting! I think Deirdre's advice is really good...but does it have a fence? Just something else you were looking for. Is it new construction? Look really new or updated...
Love you,
Da

FYI...I just finished the visitor blog, and wanted to share how much easier the white text color is to read.

I'm excited to learn if this is the one or if God provides something else to consider.

I think you're doing a great job; I'm poud of you both.

Thanks for the good ideas! It is a new house so it doesn't have a fence. Matt and I got a pretty good tax refund check so as of now the plan is to use it on paint and a fence.
I know the blue is hard to ready. Sorry. I didn't know I could change the font color. Once I saw you could I did and didn't think about the background of my blog. Now more blue font. :-)
