9 months

Jeremiah is nine months old! He's been alive outside of the womb longer than he was in it. Crazy! Here's an update on him...

  • LOVES to feed himself. macaroni, pears, green beans, Cheerios, anything he can give himself he loves
  • Takes two naps a day
  • Sleeps through the night... most of the time
  • Not a fan of the cup
  • HUGE flirt! Doesn't matter if a woman is 9 months or ninety, he'll smile and try to get their attention
  • Just starting to wave
  • Gives kisses, to me and Tonks
  • Loves playing with Tonks
  • Decided rolling is the most effective way of getting around
  • Thinks he is HILARIOUS! Example, we'll get him out of his jump-up and he'll grab onto the edge of it. When we can't get him out he starts laughing at us. The more of a struggle it is for us the harder he laughs. :-)
  • Still no stranger danger
  • Five teeth and counting
  • Figured out how to make a growling sounds

First Snow

Yesterday we started getting some flurries! Usually not a big deal, but I've been in the South too long so it was very exciting! Not only because it's atypical, but it was the first time Jeremiah saw snow. There was so little of it that he was oblivious of it all.
After he went to down for the night it started picking up. This morning when we got up (at 6am, yuck!) there was dusting of snow. As soon as the sun came up Matt and I bundled up Jeremiah and took him out side for some pictures! He looked like a kid from a cartoon, barley able to put his arms down. Had to make sure my sweet thin-blood Southern boy didn't freeze!
Not much, but we'll take it!
Can kind of see the snow on the ground

The wind gusted right as Matt took the picture and poor baby couldn't breath

I think Jeremiah liked it, for the whole 3 minutes we were out there. He wanted to make sure his Noah's Ark animal got to see the snow too. It's in every picture. :-)

Peepee Pants

When I told people I was having a little boy everyone warned me about him spraying. I was so careful when he was first born. I did not want to get peed on! The closest he ever came to peeing on me was during bath time. Pretty easy to avoid getting sprayed then. Since I've never been sprayed I've become very lax while changing him.

Yesterday, I was changing him on the couch. Matt was talking to me from the kitchen. I looked up and told him something and when I looked back down there was a linear splatter mark on the couch. I had no idea what happened! I looked and saw splatter marks on my pants! What in the world happened??? Then I saw sweet Jeremiah lying on the couch with no diaper on, smiling at me.

He got me, after 8 months he finally sprayed me! I'm going to need to be more careful from now on!
