Pictures

Here are some pictures I've been meaning to upload and haven't gotten around to.

The new paint in the kitchen. I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Thanks Matt and Mom!

This was taken at 36 weeks, so last week. I'll add a new belly picture tomorrow hopefully. Unless my doctor decides to induce me! :-)

Same

Well, there hasn't been change with Jeremiah. To make the time pass yesterday we decided to paint the kitchen! There is a chair rail in the kitchen so above it is a light green and below it will be a few shades darker. After we picked out the paint color Mom and I headed to the store to get the paint. We got the light green paint, no problem. A little problem with the darker green, they didn't have the base color. So yesterday we were able to get half of the kitchen painted!

I'm really pleased with how it's looking. The color is a little bright but not too overwhelming. I'll add pictures soon.

We also painted wood letter that spell Jeremiah that are going to hang in the nursery. The letters are blue, red and green. The plan to hang them from a black and white ribbon. I think it'll look really sweet. Once we get them up I'll add pictures of that too.

Last night I woke up at about midnight and was having stronger contractions again. Instead of staying up all night I took a Tylenol PM. Those things are amazing! I still woke up a few time in during the night with contractions.

This morning I've had several contractions, so we'll see what happens. I'm hoping that my water will break so that I'll know for sure what's going. Rather then the waiting I've been doing since Thursday.

Little Stinker

After my last blog, my contractions were 3 to 5 minutes apart and lasting over a minute. We were all thrilled thinking this was it! We headed to the hospital. What do you think happened? We got there and the contractions were not as intense or coming as frequently. They checked me and there had been no change in my cervix since yesterday. I walked for an hour, and guess what? No change again! Of course I started having contractions after they took me off the monitors. Jeremiah just can't figure out what he wants.

We got to go to a very yummy Chines place with Mom, Ms Terri, Brenda, Ricky and Travis. So that was a plus! Now we are back at the Stockman's house, just hanging out. I've still been having contractions so we shall see what happens!

Update

Yesterday I noticed that I was having more contractions then I usually have. I started tracking them a little after 1. By 2:15 I had had about 12 contractions. Called my doctor and of course they wanted to see me. Thankfully, I had given my boss a warning that I was having more contractions so I was able to take off pretty quickly.

Once we got to the doctor's the hooked my up to the monitors. I started to stress some because I wasn't having contractions like I had been, of course! After a few minutes they kicked in. In about an hour I had at least 15 contractions. The doctor said I was either in false labor or the real thing, and they couldn't tell me more then that. She recommended that I walk and see what happens.

Neither of us wanted to head home to only be making the 30 minute drive back to the hospital later. So we came and crash at the Stockman's house! I walked laps around their kitchen. We ordered in pizza and rented a movie.

While this was going on my mom was trying to figure out if she was going to do. Try to fly stand by here or wait and see what happens. A big deciding factor was that Wichita could get over a foot of snow by the weekend! Mom was able to get in late last night.

Matt and I decided we should stay the night at the Stockman's house that way we would only have a 15 minute drive to the hospital. We ran back to the house so we could pack a bag. Matt's parent's met us there and took Tonks. In all the planning we have been trying to do we never thought about what we would do with the dog. Oops.

I have been having contractions any where from 5 to 15 minutes. They're getting longer and more intense, so that's good! We've taken the day off from work. now we're just waiting to see what Jeremiah is going to do!

What a day...

Wednesday Mary Downing came to visit for the rest of the week. I'm so excited to have her here! We hadn't seen each other since October. Way too long! Yesterday we were going to take it easy and then maybe go to Atlanta and go shopping. At least that was the plan.

I had some bloody discharge and my doctor wanted me to come in so they could make sure everything was ok. I think I almost gave Matt a heart attack when I told called him. Thankfully he was able to leave work right a way so that he could go with me to the doctor. He made it home in record time without getting a ticket! And no tickets on the way to the doctor's! I think we both learned to the drive to the doctor's is longer then we thought. Take about 30 minutes to get there from our house.

We got to the doctor's office and they hooked me up to the monitors. I thought it was pretty fun to get to hear Jeremiah's heart beat for so long. Crazy how I would feel him move then then see his heart rate change. The midwife said that everything is fine and Jeremiah is doing great. She also told me that I've started to have mild contractions, I'm 70% effaced and starting to dilate. All good signs! Every keeps reminding me that this doesn't mean he'll come early. I'm trying not to get my hope up.

The rest of the day was really relaxing. Mary Downing and I went and did a little shopping. So nice to have girl time. We had a yummy dinner. We were watching TV and Tonks jumped on the couch next to MD. Next thing we know she's jumping down and there is a stream of pee trailing her! I couldn't believe it. Tonks has NEVER peed on the couch before. We were able to get it all cleaned. Still going to see if we can get the cushion replace with the warranty we have.

What a day..

Happy St Patrick's Day!

35 Weeks

In honor of St. Patrick's Day and the fact that I'm extremely Irish, I thought Jeremiah and I should pay tribute...

Yes, that is a shamrock chain tattoo on my belly.

33 Weeks

I'm not sure how Jeremiah will be able to get bigger without ripping my belly in two! I'm sure it'll happen though. My belly isn't the only thing that's growing. I now wear my wedding ring on a chain because my hands are getting too swollen.

No Snow Day

Sadly the snow we had wasn't enough to scare the bank into closing...

We did have a treat though! Brittany and her family came a stayed the night! Brit is my best friend from high school, for those of you who didn't know. It was so fun to see her again! Last time we were together was for my wedding when she was pregnant with twins! We had a great evening plying with the boys, trying to keep Tonks from harassing them too much and just hanging out. It was wonderful getting to spend time together again.

I'm a slacker and didn't think to take pictures until after they left! Sad.

Snow!

One thing I've come to miss since living in the south is the snow. Matt's lived in the south his whole life, so he's fascinated by the snow! Thankfully Matt and I are able to go home to Kansas usually once each winter to get our snow fix.

Today it snowed in Georgia! Can you believe it? Our church has huge windows on both sides of the sanctuary. Right as the service started, the snow started too. It was hilarious to watch everyone trying to pay attention and not watch the snow. It snowed all afternoon! Pretty much unheard of in Georgia. Yesterday it was almost 70 degrees so the snow hasn't really stuck.

It's supposed to get in the 20's tonight and stay pretty cold all day. We're hoping all the snow and cold will scare everyone to closing! Gotta love a snow day!
