Rough night?

A few weeks ago Jeremiah started sleeping in his nursery. Very exciting, but kind of sad at the same time. Jeremiah loves to be swaddled to sleep. He sleeps so much when he's swaddled. My mom got us a Miracle Blanket, it really is a baby straight jacket! But Jeremiah LOVES it! There was one afternoon he was exhausted, as soon as I started to swaddle him he start to calm down.

Here he is, all snuggy and sleeping really well. He sleeps on a pillow because he has reflux issues and it helps.

This is how we find him every morning! Not sure what he does to move down the bed or how he gets that leg out! There have been a few morning where he's some how gotten his arms out too! That's impressive because the Miracle blanket has flaps that hold the baby's arms down. You took the flaps under the baby's back! I have no idea how Jeremiah is able to pull the flaps out! He's a strong boy, I guess.

2 Years

Tuesday was our two year anniversary! We went out just the two of us for the first time since Jeremiah was born! I know, a long time! Brenda and Ricky kept Jeremiah. IT worked out perfectly because they were able to spend some quality time with Jeremiah and vice-versa. Thankfully he was a sweetie so we'll be able to get more babysitting!

Matt and I had a wonderful evening! We went to one of our favorite restaurants that we hardly go to. I love it because it has such a great atmosphere. The food is amazing too! After dinner we wanted to stay out longer. So we went to Sonic for some icecream. Next we went to Wal-Mart. Sounds exciting, huh? Really, it was! Being out just the two of us not having to worry about Jeremiah was so nice! We were really able to focus on each other.

It was eye opening to me how easy it is to make idols out of your children. I get so focused on taking care of Jeremiah that I neglect other areas of my life. Sadly, it mainly ends up being my relationship with God and Matt. Before Jeremiah was born Lori, a lady from church, warned me about this. She encouraged me to always put God first, Matt second and Jeremiah third. This has turned out to be harder than I thought it would be. Thankfully it's something I am becoming aware of and can work on changing.

That was a random rabbit trail... All of that to say Matt and I had a wonderful anniversary!
