Nursery Update!

Mom came into town this weekend for our baby shower. While she's here Matt and I decided to take advantage of the extra set of hands and try to get most of the nursery finished. It looks so cute! I'm thrilled with how it's all coming together. The walls are Bicycle Yellow, very fun!

My grandma is here as well! She and mom are working on the bed skirt right now. I think it's best I stay out of the way. :-)

Near the end

I've found that there are signs that the pregnancy is on the down hill:

Maternity shirts are no longer big enough to cover your belly

People ask, "You won't get any bigger, will you???"

When you sneeze or cough you better hope you don't have to go potty or it could get messy

It's a goodnight if you get up only once

You no longer fit most places if you're turned to the side

Puffy is a good way to describe your ankles, all the time

That's all for now. I'm only at 30 weeks so I'm sure there will be more to come!

New Years Resolution

I know I'm over a month behind in making my resolution. Better late than never, right? This year I decided I wanted to take it seriously and go beyond the typical resolutions. Plus I wanted to find one that I would stick with. So here it is,

To learn how to better prioritize

As I was thinking through what I wanted to work on changing in myself that what it all boiled down to, learning is it more important. To make sure the dishes are done or call a friend I hadn't talked to in a while? Read new book or do my quiet time? This has been challenging for me and I'm sure it will become more so once Jeremiah is born. It will be interesting to see how I've done at the end of the year and how my priorities have changed

Nursery!

With Jeremiah due in less then three months I guess it's time we started working on the nursery.  After spending a time at Babies R Us and scouring the internet  we finally found a crib and changing table! Matt's Grandma generously bought both for us! the crib and changing table arrived yesterday, so Matt and his Uncle Randy set to work putting them together. They did a fantastic job and it didn't take them long at all!

Matt and I talked a little about how we wanted to set it up last night. I was exhausted so we decided we would work on the set up later. This morning when I went to take pictures of the nursery Matt had apparently stayed up and arranged it. He even brought in a chair and end table from another room, so that we could have an idea what the room will look like with the glider in it. I thought that was too sweet. So here is the start to Jeremiah's nursery!

Three months to go!

Here is my latest belly picture, 26 weeks

The customers at work are just starting to realize that I'm pregnant. I work in the drive thru so that makes it harder to tell. The other day I was finishing helping a gentleman and he asked me how much longer. It was getting close to when we close so I looked at the clock and told him just over an hour. He looked at me really funny and then said, "No, till your baby comes." I was so startled and felt so silly  that it took me a second to get the date out. Tori, the girl I work with could not stop laughing. I couldn't help it, I was ready to go home for the day!

Movin' on up!

Last night Jeremiah discovered there's a lot more room in my belly, under my ribs! Not a good sensations to be about to fall asleep and all the sudden have a littler person under your ribs. Guess I have to get used to it for the next few weeks.
